‘Gossip Girl’ starlet Leighton Meester was given the honour of lighting up the Empire State Building in red and white light last night at the 5th Annual ‘DKMS’ Gala in New York. She was joined by designer Vera Wang to help her pull the lever, illuminating the 102 storey building.
She wore a silky high waisted oriental- style skirt by the famous designer, and paired it with gold coloured Brian Atwood pumps.
‘DKMS’ is the world’s largest bone marrow donation centre, so, naturally, guests were given the opportunity to join the bone marrow donation register at the event.
