Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman let the world know of their engagement when she wore a sparkler yesterday around Brooklyn, New York.
They started dating in November 2008 following Anne‘s split from fraudster Raffaello Follieri.
“We hit if off immediately but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I’d better keep my distance because I didn’t want to be that girl,” she said of the pair’s meeting.
In September she told ‘Marie Claire‘: “Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time and then I fall in love like a fool.”
Her rep confirmed the story to ‘Access Hollywood‘, and revealed that the ring was a “design collaboration between Adam and ‘Kwiat Heritage‘ jewels.”
