Houston Was Buried In Diamonds

Whitney Houston truly was a diamond, so it comes to no surprise that she was recently buried wearing a load of them! She was dressed in over £500,000 worth of rocks, including a diamond brooch and earrings, and now her family have had to take certain security measures to prevent their theft. An idea floating around between her friends and family is that they could encase her body in concrete. At present it is under 24-hour guard at ‘Fairview Cemetery‘ in New Jersey, but her family are unable to continue funding it.

Meanwhile, mother Cissy Houston is cashing in on her daughter’s death, and plans to ‘set the record straight’ by publishing a book. She is quoted by the ‘New York Times‘ as saying: “I want to stop the lies, It’s going to be the bad. It’s going to be the good.”

Kelly Rowland Leaves ‘The X Factor’

She was criticised heavily for failing to please viewers of ‘The X Factor‘ last year, and now Kelly Rowland has paid the price, and has not been invited to return. The former ‘Destiny’s Child‘ singer has left the ‘ITV‘ show today, but it is believed that Tulisa Contostavlos will remain on the panel for this series. Confirming the news, Kelly said: “I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season.”

Her spokesperson added: “After much speculation, we can officially confirm today that Kelly Rowland has decided not to return as a judge again for this year’s UK ‘X Factor‘. Global commitments coupled with the show’s increasing demands this year mean that, despite weeks of deliberation with the show, Kelly has not been able to agree a deal that fits into her autumn/winter schedule, so sadly cannot accept a place on the 2012 panel. Kelly thoroughly enjoyed her role as a judge on the show, but felt that if there couldn’t be a workable solution to scheduling issues, so that she could effectively juggle her other commitments then she couldn’t wholeheartedly commit to the show this year.”

Dannii May Return To ‘X Factor’

You’d think that after all the recent speculation surrounding her relationship with Simon Cowell outside of ‘X Factor‘, Dannii Minogue wouldn’t want to get anywhere near him. But now she is considering a return to the show’s judging panel, and is in negotiations with ‘ITV‘ to replace unpopular stand-in Kelly Rowland.

A source close to music mogul Simon told the ‘Sunday Mirror‘: “Simon thinks she’s great. They are still friends. If it works out, then it will be fantastic for ‘X Factor‘. No formal offer has yet gone out but this is likely to happen in the next few days.”

Dannii said recently that she’d love to return to the hit show: “I really don’t know what’s happening, That’s up to Simon Cowell. I haven’t ruled out coming back to the UK for anything and I think all of the show’s fans know that I love it. I would love to do it again, but it’s all in the hands of Mr Cowell.”

Betsey Johnson Declares Bankruptcy

Wacky fashion designer Betsey Johnson has been forced to file for bankruptcy after disappointing sales figures, and the majority of her 63 stores across the world will have to close their doors, and 350 staff will be fired.

Betsey will still play the role of creative director, and still plans to have a show during ‘Fashion Week‘ in September and will soon start shooting a reality show. She made the tough business decision with the help of fellow designer, Steve Madden.

It’s total assets were listed at $21.3 million, and in the paperwork for the filing they’ve stated that their sales have fallen more than 20%: “The economic recession had a devastating impact on higher-end fashion apparel brands, including ‘Betsey Johnson Fashions.’”

The lady herself reassured her thousands of followers today that she’s sticking around: “I love my brand I love my fans and I’m not going anywhere! As creative director, it’s full speed ahead. Thanks beyond and beyond! xox Betsey.”

Katie Price’s 3rd Engagement

Katie Price has gotten engaged for the 3rd time, and this time it’s to Argentinian lover Leandro Penna. ‘The Sun‘ say that she was spotted flashing a pink diamond ring on out in Sussex last week- I’d expect nothing less from Katie! Her spokesperson confirmed that the couple were engaged: “They’re engaged. Leandro proposed to Katie while they were away skiing recently – and she said yes.”

Meanwhile, Katie‘s GBF (gay best friend), hair and make-up expert Gary Cockerill, tweeted his congratulations to the couple this morning: “A huge congratulations to @MissKatiePrice and @leandro__penna on their engagement. All our love Gary and Phill.” “Thank you for all your nice tweets! I’m gonna enjoy the sunshine where I’ve just landed,” Katie tweeted this morning.

Fan Follows SuBo To Hotel Room

Susan Boyle was startled last night when an over-zealous fan tried to break an entry into her hotel room. The ‘I Dream A Dream‘ singer and ‘Britain’s Got Talent‘ singer was staying in a 5 star room at the ‘Hope Street Hotel‘ in Liverpool after a performance at the ‘Empire Theatre‘. It appears that several fans had gathered at the hotel waiting for her at the elevator in the hope she would sign autographs, and she tried to skip the meet and greet and take the flight of stairs, where she was met by a man.

A supposed witness told ‘The Daily Mirror‘: “Some fans waited for her in the lift but Susan spotted them and took the stairs. This man realised she was taking the stairs so he followed her. He made a dash for her door, saying he wanted her autograph, but she managed to get into the room safe and sound. The attention she was getting from fans was a bit much, especially given what happened at her home recently. The last thing she needed was someone trying to get into her room. Her nerves were already frayed and she shouldn’t have to worry about people hounding her at her hotel.”

Lauren Conrad Dip-Dyes Hair Pink

Lauren Conrad usually plays it safe when it comes to fashion and beauty, but this time she’s brightened up her look by dip-dyeing her famous blonde locks a shade of bright pink. She debuted her edgier hair do at the last booking signing for her novel ‘The Fame Game‘ at ‘Barnes & Noble‘ at ‘The Grove‘ shopping centre in LA, and wore a studded white sleeveless shirt from ‘Urban Outfitters‘ with a skirt from her own line, ‘Paper Crown‘.

In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest about her book, Lauren said: “1 of my biggest goals, especially with writing young adult novels, is just to have people enjoy reading. I remember being in high school and it was so forced because everything I read through most of school was assigned reading. I love the idea of giving girls a book that they can read and enjoy reading.”

She wrote a blog about her new hair for the event: “Last night was the final stop of my book tour for ‘The Fame Game‘. Seeing as it was the finale to a long tour, I decided to pull out all the stops. Okay, maybe not all but I did debut a freshly painted pink ponytail. I figure that I might as well have fun experimenting while I’m still young. Ke$ha Pees On Actual Street!

Ke$ha‘s always been seen as a bit of a ladette, but even a guy wouldn’t do what she’s done now. When she got stuck in LA traffic the other day, instead of leaving the car and going to find an actual toilet nearby to use like any other normal person would, she literally pulled her skirt down and peed all over the street for the public to see.

The attention-seeking sing posted a picture of her squatting down on Twitter, with the caption: “Pee pee on the street. PoPo come and get me if you can find me.I blame traffic.” She told ‘Glamour‘ magazine recently: “I know that I have balls. I have bigger balls than a lot of the men that I meet. I’m just a ballsy motherfucker. I’m not afraid of pushing boundaries.” We know that you have them…we just didn’t need to see them!

Lauren Goodger Bows Out Of Essex

Ever since she began her career on ‘The Only Way With Essex‘, Lauren Goodger has shared a tumultuous relationship with the show’s producers. And now they appear to have clashed once again amid plans of hers to turn her and her sister Nicola into “the British versions of the Kardashians.”

As a result of their row over her role on the show, they cut most of the scenes which she filmed last Sunday at the ‘George Shillibeer‘ pub in Islington following Arg‘s marathon run. A tweet written yesterday implied that she was in a feud: “Think about time spread my wings a lot things arising @NicolaGoodger @RiannaGoodger.” At last night’s ‘Elite 2012 Model‘ event, she spoke out about the reports to ‘exclusivetv.co.uk‘. “There’s been some issues which are currently being looked into while ‘TOWIE‘ is on a break.”

Norcross Home Destroyed By Flames

The home of ‘The Only Way Is Essex‘ stars Kirk and Mick Norcross was destroyed by a blaze in Essex yesterday. Mick was treated for smoke inhalation, and Kirk suffered minor cuts after attempting to extinguish the fire that broke out an upstairs rooms. 2 fire engines and an ambulance arrived on the scene 20 minutes later, and the pair of them had to wear oxygen masks.

Mick wrote about the ordeal: “Thanks for the support re the fire at my home, not good coming home to smoke coming out the roof, thanks @kirk_official & Paul for trying to put it out! Thanks again for all the support at least no one was hurt its only material it can all be fixed.”

Kirk told his Twitter followers that he was asleep in the house when the fire broke out. He wrote: “Dramas! Got woke up to my Dad’s house on fire! Tried my best to put it out #MyLungsAreFucked thanks Mr Fireman for saving my life.”
