Kelly Rowland Leaves ‘The X Factor’

Standard

She was criticised heavily for failing to please viewers of ‘The X Factor‘ last year, and now Kelly Rowland has paid the price, and has not been invited to return. The former ‘Destiny’s Child‘ singer has left the ‘ITV‘ show today, but it is believed that Tulisa Contostavlos will remain on the panel for this series. Confirming the news, Kelly said: “I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season.”

Her spokesperson added: “After much speculation, we can officially confirm today that Kelly Rowland has decided not to return as a judge again for this year’s UKX Factor‘. Global commitments coupled with the show’s increasing demands this year mean that, despite weeks of deliberation with the show, Kelly has not been able to agree a deal that fits into her autumn/winter schedule, so sadly cannot accept a place on the 2012 panel. Kelly thoroughly enjoyed her role as a judge on the show, but felt that if there couldn’t be a workable solution to scheduling issues, so that she could effectively juggle her other commitments then she couldn’t wholeheartedly commit to the show this year.”

Let’s all pray that the rumours that Katy Perry will replace her are true then…

‘X Factor’ Loser Frankie Sacked Over Coke Claims

Standard

Cheeky ‘X Factor‘ singer(?) Frankie Cocozza has been axed by the production company after boasting about his alleged cocaine usage.

He left the shared house earlier this evening, and was ordered to leave after TV bosses decided that they’d had enough of his out-of-hand behaviour.

Frankie‘s official statement about his departure reads: “I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in the ‘X Factor‘. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving.”

Meanwhile, his disappointed mentor Gary Barlow wrote: “Frankie has apologised publicly as well as personally to me and the producers for his actions that led to him leaving the show. I’m hugely disappointed that he’s thrown away an opportunity like this after working so hard to get here.”

Fellow judge Kelly Rowland had a slightly embarrassing moment today when she was questioned about it during an interview, before she’d actually been told…watch and cringe!

At last, the greasy- hared waster can leave our screens! I’m praying that they let Johnny come back…

Beyoncé’s Baby Is A Girl

Standard

Kelly Rowland is going to be in trouble with Beyoncé right now after letting the gender of her unborn baby out of the bag.

She made the cock-up when talking to the press at the ‘Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2011‘ in London.

“I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyoncé at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled but she will be very well looked after. I’ll be on hand for babysitting duties and I’m actually very good with messy diapers!”

I have a feeling that she’s going to have to triple that present she had in mind to make up for it…

Alexandra Burke Covers For Kelly Rowland

Standard

Alexandra Burke has been called in at the last minute by ‘X Factor‘ bosses to replace Kelly Rowland as the fourth judge on the panel for tonight’s show.

ITV‘ confirmed her replacement earlier on to ‘The Daily Mail‘: “It is true that Alexandra is replacing Kelly tonight, but we have no further information at present.”

Kelly spoke to ‘The Sun‘ yesterday about her throat infection: “I have no idea what is wrong with me, but I have the worst sore throat. I’ve been in tears all week. It got so bad that I stopped eating and drinking and got so dehydrated the doctor put me on a drip.”

Her spokesperson added: “Kelly is devastated she won’t be here for this weekend’s show. She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren’t permitting her to fly. Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered.”

Alexandra struggled to hide her delight about her appointment on her Twitter: “#XFACTOR – Let’s go!!!!!!! @kellyrowland get well soon bubs! Your girls are gonna smash it! Xx It’s all about girl power tonight! Let’s get it IN! #XFACTOR.”

Official ‘X Factor’ 2011 Judges

Standard

After months of deliberation, the ITV Press Centre have finally released the names of the 4 judges for the 2011 ‘X Factor’ show. Last week it became clear that Cheryl Cole was no longer interested in the role, and Dannii Minogue has previously arranged work commitments.

The news was posted on their official Twitter page: “Official: @TheXFactor (UK) judges will be: Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland & Louis Walsh #itvpresscentre.”

Simon Cowell said: ‘These four are totally up for it, each of them bring a different attitude. They have had a ton of hits between them and they are all committed to finding a star. I have a feeling Louis and Tulisa will have slightly different points of view as to what the next star should look and sound like!’

TheDirector of Television at ITV added: “As multi-million selling artists, songwriters and pop masterminds, Gary, Tulisa, Kelly and Louis have huge breadth of appeal with our audience and the ability to engage both the UK’s next generation of music talent as well as ITV’s viewers.”

What do you think about their choices? Will Tulisa and Kelly clash?
