Fan Buys Katy Perry Baked Beans Ring!

Katy Perry kicked off the second leg of her UKCalifornia Dreams‘ tour at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena last night, and was given an unusual item of jewellery by a fan.

The fan in question, Becky, bought Katy a baked beans on toast ring, after reading that this was one of her favourite foods here in England.

She tweeted her thanks after the show: “It’s so lovely to be back on tour. Sheffield u were ace, thanx @beckybo0 for my SWEET beans on toast ring!”

And Becky revealed that Katy had autographed some merchandise for her, writing: “Becky, I love you so much and you give amazing rings, love Katy x,” and that Katy had told her she was “on her period” (!), and has “a bit of English in her every other day of the week!”

Her fan seemed to be a little emotional following the Meet & Greet: “Last night doesn’t seem real! I’m overwhelmed with @katyperry‘s reaction to my ring 🙂 She had actual tears in her eyes. Someone said she wore it during the show.”

Just a few hours before she took to the stage, she and her crew ate at Silversmith’s restaurant in Sheffield‘s city centre, where she was introduced to the British classic, ‘Yorkshire Pudding‘.

“FINALLY! Beloved ENGLAND! First thing I did was stuff me gob w/some Yorkshire puddings & meat pies from Silversmiths in Sheffield. Ah bless.”

The restaurant owner reckons she was more than a little bemused by them at first sight: “We first introduced her to Yorkshire pudding. She thought it was funny that we ate puddings as starters, but once she got her head around it Katy loved it.”

You can buy an almost identical ring to Katy‘s here for just £7.99!
