Cher Lloyd, who should be forever in debt to former ‘X Factor‘ mentor Cheryl Cole for helping her to reach the live show stage in the competition, has given the Geordie a slap in the face by publicly bashing her.
During an interview with the ‘Real Breakfast for Real North West‘ show, she heavily hinted that Cheryl relies on autotune to produce a pitch perfect performance. When she asked if she would ever perform with Cheryl, her exact words were: “Maybe if she sings live with me!” Presenter Debbie Oubsey asked if this would be difficult for her, and she replied: “Well it is nowadays, when you haven’t got the nifty little button to press!” And does Cheryl rely on it? “What, oh no? Never, never ever!” Hmm, convincing.
Back in 2009 when Cheryl was a regular fixture on the show’s judging panel, she performed her single ‘Fight For This Love‘, and was accused of singing along to a pre-recorded backing track.
In an interview with ‘Fabulous‘ magazine last weekend, she confirmed that the pair are no longer in touch. “Cheryl understood me and she helped me a lot and so it’s sad that I haven’t heard from her. But if she wants to give me a ring she can. If not, that’s fine too.”
