‘90210‘ actress and gym inspiration AnnaLynne McCord spoke at the ‘Somaly Mam Foundation‘ charity event in LA last week about her own sex attack experience, similar to that of her character Naomi Clark on the show.
In her speech, she asked: “Has anyone ever been raped? Sexually abused? Not said “no” when you felt you didn’t have the right to? I know what it feels like. I had a very similar experience to what these girls go through 20 times a night. It happened to me once by somebody that I knew, and it is a very interesting thing to feel that you do not have the voice to say “no.” It wasn’t an attack or anything like that – I just had no voice. I did not know how to say, “I don’t want this. Please do not do this to me.” It was a situation where I found myself in my own home being hospitable, and that hospitality was taken advantage of at an extreme level. I did not have a voice, and now I do, and I’m practising using my voice for others. Finally I can say I was taken advantage of – not from my own shame that I did something to deserve that – and now I can have a clear conscience.”
Former ‘The OC‘ actor/ Katy Perry‘s ex-boyfriend Johnny Lewis killed himself and his 81-year-old landlady this week. Police officers were called to his house at around 10 am and and found Catherine Chabot Davis and her cat beaten to death. It is believed that he murdered her whilst high on drug crystal meth, and fell from the roof of his house.
An ‘LAPD‘ officer said: “It appears some type of altercation occurred inside the house, resulting in the death of the woman. Then this individual ran outside, had an altercation with a couple of neighbours, ran back into the house and by the time we got here, he had fallen or had somehow died on the driveway.”
Back in the day, Amy Childs was the main star of ‘The Only Way Is Essex‘, and introduced the world to the art of the vajazzle; so it only makes sense for her to be included in the film that the show’s other characters so desperately want.
In her ‘New‘ magazine column this week, she’s addressed the rumours: “Apparently they’d want some of the original cast members to be in it. I must admit, some of the people I still talk to on the show have mentioned this to me, so it looks likely that a film will happen in the not-so-distant future. No-one’s asked me to be in it but I’d definitely say yes if they did. I think it’d be brilliant for the film to have all the original cast – me, Kirk Norcross, Harry Derbidge and Mark Wright.”
Lady Gaga posted some new photos on her website ‘LittleMonsters.com‘ last night of her in her underwear, which are meant to promote body empowerment.
In a post titled ‘bulimia and anorexia since I was 15‘, she wrote: “My weight/loss/gain since I was a child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But you have. My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I’m happy. Happier then I’ve ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And I love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well.” She looks like she’s in great shape to me!
Lindsay Lohan was admitted to the ‘Mount Sinai Hospital‘ hospital yesterday with a lung infection. She has been telling friends that she’s suffering with ‘walking pneumonia’ now for a few weeks, and was prescribed antibiotics by her doctor last night. She has since returned home and is no doubt causing trouble already!
Her estranged father Michael Lohan told ‘The Daily News‘: “She’s fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously. When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma.”
Chris Brown has made yet another mistake and failed a mandatory drug test, a court judge said yesterday. The R&B singer/ general fail tested positive for marijuana in June in Virginia, which could affect his probation, as despite completing his hours of community service, he still has some way to go before he can start impressing the judge.
Ex- girlfriend Rihanna sent him a good luck message beforehand, and was probably entertained that he was using her favourite green substance; she tweeted: “I’m praying for you and wishing you the best today!”
‘Green Day‘ lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong has fulfilled every rockstar stereotype by entering rehab for drug addiction following a guitar-smashing session. His band performed at the ‘iHeartRadio‘ festival on Friday night in Vegas, and he did not take kindly to being told that they only had 1 minute left to perform- he was so angry in fact that he literally grabbed the nearest guitar and started smashing it on the stage!
The band posted on their official website yesterday: “Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by ‘Clear Channel‘ and to apologize to those we offended at the ‘iHeartRadio‘ festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.”
In a brand new interview with TV host Katie Couric, Demi Lovato has compared her recent rehab experience to prison.
“What happened was I made a huge mistake and I ended up hitting one of my friends who was a back-up dancer. I felt horrible. I wasn’t really in control of my emotions at the time and I was just out of control and there’s no excuse for it but it definitely showed everyone I needed to get help and I think two days later I was checking into rehab. Treatment was so difficult at first, I remember walking around saying ‘I’m in prison!’ They needed to have those strict rules in order for me to understand how sick I was.”
“I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom by myself. We had specific phone times. There are tons of things you weren’t allowed to have, you weren’t allowed to have certain hair products or whatever that you could injure yourself with or possibly drink and you were just stripped of a lot of things. I also had somebody watching over me every single time I ate. And if I didn’t finish what was on my plate, and often times I would cry because I physically couldn’t stomach it and if that happened I would have to have little consequences, nothing horrible just not being able to go to the cafeteria to eat.”
Brave ‘X Factor‘ judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed in her soon-to-be-released autobiography, ‘Honest: My Story So Far‘, that she was raped by a friend after having her drink spiked at a party at just 16:
“I couldn’t even move, let alone get up or speak. I knew I’d been drugged. The next thing I remembered was waking up. lying in the back of a cab and seeing the street lights whizzing past me through the windows. I felt completely out of it, and I blacked out again. When I finally woke up in the morning I found myself in a strange house. I went into the bathroom and burst into tears. Then I pulled myself together, got dressed, and left without saying another word, crying all the way home.”
Paris Hilton has got herself into hot water with the gay community after making derogatory comments about their sexual activities. She was recorded by a New York taxi driver criticising gay men who have sex with strangers after being told about a new app called ‘Grindr‘, where gay men can find partners. She insisted: “Gay guys are the horniest people in the world. They’re disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS… I would be so scared if I were a gay guy. You’ll like, die of AIDS.”
In a new, and deeply apologetic statement, she says: “As anyone close to me knows, I always have been and always will be a huge supporter of the gay community. I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families with the comments heard this morning. I was having this private conversation with a friend of mine who is gay and our conversation was in no way towards the entire gay community.”
“It is the last thing that I would ever want to do and I cannot put into words how much I wish I could take back every word. HIV/AIDS can hurt anyone, gay and straight, men and women. It’s something I take very seriously and should not have been thrown around in conversation. Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know. It is so wrong when people bully or put down others for being gay. No one should have to go through that. Again, I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart and I feel absolutely horrible. I hope that everyone can accept my apology and know that it is not who I am or how I feel in any way. Thank you for taking a minute to read this, I love you.”
