Justin Bieber has been criticised by animal rights activists for giving away his pet hamster Pac earlier this month. He surprised a fan with the gift after a performance in Atlanta, passing the furry creature through the barrier.
The recipient, a young girl called Victoria Blair, (@victoriablair21), explained on Twitter: “Met Justin outside ‘Jingle Ball‘ in Atlanta and he gave him to me! BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!” Witnesses heard the Biebs warn her “that’s all you…you gotta take care of Pac,” and she shouted in response: “I WILL TAKE CARE OF HIM!”
I only watched the show’s finale several hours ago myself and am already struggling to come to terms with the fact that its over, so I’m sure ‘Gossip Girl‘ fans worldwide will rejoice at the news that the show’s producers are considering transferring it to the silver screen after 5 very successful years as a TV series.
Executive producer Stephanie Savage dished the gossip to Kristin Dos Santos at ‘E! Online‘: “It’s funny we’ve never talked about a movie seriously until the show was actually ending. We’ve never had any legitimate conversations about doing a movie until we were saying goodbye. Then we said, ‘We’ll do a movie, Broadway show, or reunion show, right?’ Even though we are likely to see each other again it’s not like we’ll all be working together again, so that’s where the fantasy starts.”
Meanwhile, off-screen couple Matt Settle (Rufus Humphrey) and Kelly Rutherford (Lily van der Woodsen) have hinted at the possibility on Twitter, exchanging several tweets about it. Kelly wrote to Matt: “We did it! I love you and am so happy we had so many great years together. I think they left the story open … Hopefully for a movie where we will finally be together… What do you think?” Matt responded: “Perhaps ‘Rufly’ will find a way in the movie. But come on… ‘Lonely Boy‘ got the girl! Great ending!”
Russell Brand celebrated his first 10 years of sobriety last week after years of enduring a drug, sex and alcohol addiction simultaneously.
The comedian turned actor has been arrested 12 times over the years, and has sought help to his problems in the form of transcendental meditation, a kind of stress-relieving yoga activity. During a stand-up tour of New Zealand, he wrote on Twitter: “10 years clean… Thanks for all your messages of love… Anyone can get clean, one day at a time.””
‘LostProphets‘ singer and frontman Ian Watkins was arrested in a shocking move by South Wales Police yesterday. He is currently facing 6 criminal charges, including conspiracy to rape a 1 year old baby with a woman. He also stood accused of conspiring to engage in sexual activity with 2 children aged under 13; possessing and distributing indecent images of children, and possessing extreme animal pornography.
His bandmates Jamie Oliver, Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stuart Richardson and Luke Johnson issued a brief statement on their website last night: “Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. We are learning about the details of the investigation along with you. It is a difficult time for us and our families, and we want to thank our fans for their support as we seek answers.”
Yesterday he appeared at Cardiff‘s ‘Magistrates Court‘, and was denied his lawyer’s plea for bail, meaning that he will be remanded in custody until his next court appearance on December 31.

She tweeted an explanation and apology to her fans: “I could do my UK tour in Feb but my album will not be out before hand so if I did new songs you wouldn’t know them… I have personally moved it back to make sure you ALL get a BIGGER and BETTER show and will know the music I’m performing. My album is not finished and I am giving myself more time to finish it. I understand some of you are disappointed as am I. Music and art cannot be rushed. I promise It will be worth the wait. Thank you for supporting me.”
