Celebrity stylist & red carpet guru Annabel Tollman died yesterday in her sleep. The 36-year-old died in peace and of natural causes, most likely to be of a blood clot, ‘New York Magazine‘ report. The body of the Brit-born stylist was discovered yesterday in her NYC apartment. During her colourful career, she was employed as a fashion editor for ‘Interview‘ magazine, and has dressed most of Hollywood, including Scarlett Johansson and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen.
Several of her friends have written emotion-filled messages online. Kelly Cutrone: “Shocked and super sad to hear about Annabel Tollman today.” ‘Gossip Girl‘ actress Michelle Tratchenberg, seen here in this photo with her, wrote: “I’m deeply devastated over the loss of my dear friend Annabel Tollman. A truly extraordinary wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.” Fellow stylist Louise Rowe also gave her respects: “Very sad to hear about the death of stylist Annabel Tollman this morning. She was an incredible talent. RIP.”
‘Gossip Girl‘ goddess Blake Lively proved her humanitarian interests over the weekend by speaking publicly at ‘Chime For Change.’ The Gucci-fronted event, held at London‘s massive Twickenham Stadium, featured performances by some of the most prominent voices in the music industry. This includes Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez & Madonna, and her bestie Florence Welch too!
The aim of the event was to raise money for the charity, which is a global campaign for girls’ and women’s empowerment, and it was founded by the fashion house, for which Blake models a fragrance for. The beauty spoke on the red carpet about the most important women in her life, what she wants for women, and drooled over Beyoncé, who she was once famusly quoted as saying: “I want Beyoncé to be the mother of my children!” I’m sure that can be arranged honey…PS A+ for the hair, make up and accessories…simply stunning.
Blake Lively in ‘Hervé Léger’
Eric Daman often dressed Upper East Side Queen Serena van der Woodsen (aka Blake Lively) in ‘Hervé Léger‘ on ‘Gossip Girl‘, and this was one of his greatest choices. The fashion expert/ designer, who worked closely with the show throughout its run, selected this burgundy number for a 2009 episode of the series.
Whilst Blake‘s dress would have cost well over a thousand, you can buy an almost identical copy for just £121.38 thanks to ‘Lust Dresses.’ It features a wide cut along the bust, and the vertical paneling takes inches of the post-Christmas waist! It is available in sizes Small-Large online.

I only watched the show’s finale several hours ago myself and am already struggling to come to terms with the fact that its over, so I’m sure ‘Gossip Girl‘ fans worldwide will rejoice at the news that the show’s producers are considering transferring it to the silver screen after 5 very successful years as a TV series.
Executive producer Stephanie Savage dished the gossip to Kristin Dos Santos at ‘E! Online‘: “It’s funny we’ve never talked about a movie seriously until the show was actually ending. We’ve never had any legitimate conversations about doing a movie until we were saying goodbye. Then we said, ‘We’ll do a movie, Broadway show, or reunion show, right?’ Even though we are likely to see each other again it’s not like we’ll all be working together again, so that’s where the fantasy starts.”
Meanwhile, off-screen couple Matt Settle (Rufus Humphrey) and Kelly Rutherford (Lily van der Woodsen) have hinted at the possibility on Twitter, exchanging several tweets about it. Kelly wrote to Matt: “We did it! I love you and am so happy we had so many great years together. I think they left the story open … Hopefully for a movie where we will finally be together… What do you think?” Matt responded: “Perhaps ‘Rufly’ will find a way in the movie. But come on… ‘Lonely Boy‘ got the girl! Great ending!”
Tomorrow the 1st episode of the final season of ‘Gossip Girl‘ with will air in America, and the show’s producers are pulling out all the stops to make it an unforgettable ending.
The show’s executive producers Stephanie Savage and Sara Goodman have created a new video in which they admit they know who the culprit is, and that their identity will be announced very soon. “For 5 years, that’s the secret she said she’d never tell. But this year, she’s telling,” the pair tease in the clip below.
Having watched ‘Gossip Girl‘ literally from the beginning in 2007, I’m getting pretty nostalgic now that my favourite show is coming to and end. And it seems that the brilliant Leighton Meester, the woman responsible for playing the bitch of the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf, is too.
In a new interview for the UK edition of ‘Cosmopolitan‘, she spoke about her sadness at the show’s end: “It’s good that we’re going out on a high note, but I’m ready to move on. It’ll probably be a challenge, for a time, to fight against that character – I won’t play an overprivileged girl any time soon! But I’ll never forget ‘Gossip Girl‘.”
And if you’re expecting her to act at all like her over-privileged character, think again: “I’ve never seen Blair with the same bag, coat or shoes twice. I don’t know anyone who had that. I had two pairs of jeans when I was a teenager that I rotated. I wouldn’t trust myself with a ‘Prada‘ bag! I didn’t even want to change for gym so I’d wear sweatpants over my jeans, then sweat around the track for an hour.”
‘Gossip Girl‘ beauty Blake Lively married boyfriend of a year Ryan Reynolds in front of close family and friends on Sunday. The ceremony took place in Charleston, South Carolina, at the ‘Boone Hall Plantation‘.
Whilst we are still waiting for an official announcement from their representatives, the designing duo from fashion house ‘Marchesa‘, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, have released a statement confirming that they worked with the actress on her dress: “It had a hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery.” Her shoes were by pal ‘Christian Louboutin‘, and his suit was by ‘Burberry‘. No word on whether her cast-mates were in attendance yet.
