I only watched the show’s finale several hours ago myself and am already struggling to come to terms with the fact that its over, so I’m sure ‘Gossip Girl‘ fans worldwide will rejoice at the news that the show’s producers are considering transferring it to the silver screen after 5 very successful years as a TV series.
Executive producer Stephanie Savage dished the gossip to Kristin Dos Santos at ‘E! Online‘: “It’s funny we’ve never talked about a movie seriously until the show was actually ending. We’ve never had any legitimate conversations about doing a movie until we were saying goodbye. Then we said, ‘We’ll do a movie, Broadway show, or reunion show, right?’ Even though we are likely to see each other again it’s not like we’ll all be working together again, so that’s where the fantasy starts.”
Meanwhile, off-screen couple Matt Settle (Rufus Humphrey) and Kelly Rutherford (Lily van der Woodsen) have hinted at the possibility on Twitter, exchanging several tweets about it. Kelly wrote to Matt: “We did it! I love you and am so happy we had so many great years together. I think they left the story open … Hopefully for a movie where we will finally be together… What do you think?” Matt responded: “Perhaps ‘Rufly’ will find a way in the movie. But come on… ‘Lonely Boy‘ got the girl! Great ending!”
‘Gossip Girl‘ actress and mother of 2, Kelly Rutherford, has lost her custodial battle against ex-husband Daniel Giersch. Over the last 3 years she has fought to have physical care of her children, but an LA court judge has ruled that they should reside in France with their father for the forseeable future.
In an emotion-filled interview on ‘Good Morning America‘ yesterday, she vowed to help her kids, Hermes and Helena: “‘I will never stop fighting for my children. They’re my babies and they’re very young and this is going to affect them profoundly. I want to be there as much as I can to show them that this isn’t my fault, this isn’t something I wanted, and that’s my concerns. They went away for the summer to visit their dad and now all of a sudden they are starting school in France, so I think it shocked everyone.”
She tweeted following the interview: “Thanks everyone for your support. My children are American citizens who go to school in NY & I’ll keep fighting to bring them home.”
‘Gossip Girl‘ actress Kelly Rutherford is being sued by a private investigator that she hired to spy on her ex husband. ‘TMZ‘ have found through their investigation that Kelly asked Edward Banach to spy on her ex back in April 2010, due to problems regarding child custody. Her messy divorce in 2010 from Daniel Giersch was full of restraining orders and allegations of child endangerment.
The investigator claims to have spent months spying on her ex on her behalf, which cost her a total of $86,249.85! When the problems peaked, Kelly admitted she hired a private investigator to prove Giersch didn’t secure the pool and play areas at his home, which could have potentially harmed the couple’s son, Hermes. All she’s said about the matter is: “I was concerned about my son’s safety.”
