Lady Gaga bought a piece of history earlier this month when she purchased 55 collector’s pieces from Michael Jackson‘s estate at a Beverly Hills auction. The quirky (yet fantastic) singer’s purchases included the original ‘Bad‘ jacket and a crystal glove, which she can be seen wearing in the accompanying photo, along with her number 462 bidding paddle.
Gaga wrote on Twitter after the fund-raising event: “The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide. Study the greats and become greater.”
Lady Gaga is a big fan of the annual US holiday ‘Turkey Day‘, aka Thankgiving, and it sounds by all accounts like her fans are too. The singer was rudely interrupted in the middle of the night by a particularly rowdy bunch of fans outside, who attempted to break into her house at various points yesterday.
She tweeted: “Monster fact when Gaga is asleep try to break into the garage, sing loud as possible, and ring the doorbell repeatedly #HappeningNow #BadKids. Thanksgiving story: woke up for leftovers in kitchen (naked)- stumbled on security camera revealing 35 monsters in my garage #Why #ILoveYou. Then found Nanny Poppins @emmaadaoui trapped in basement between the fans and food. I rescued her, she’s ok now. I should be mad I guess except I tried to figure out how to slide stuffing under the door, but theres no cat-flap. To any little monsters trying to get in my house at the moment if you see a large Italian man yelling about sleep it is not Joe Germanotta!”
International superstar Lady Gaga and mediocre act Calvin Harris clashed a little on Twitter yesterday after he revealed that he didn’t want to work with her in the past.
He initially posted: “Jeez you turn down one remix in 2008 and next thing the whole world’s on your back. The Illuminati’s after me lol. Never mind I’ll just keep making tracks.” Lady Gaga responded directly: “@calvinharris I never even emailed you. I guess it’s hard to believe I write and produce my music. Cause I’m a woman I don’t know about EDM right? Music is mortal if it has no integrity behind it. I’m interested in making the immortal kind.” Well said Gagaloo!
Lady Gaga is known for giving her all to fans during her performances, but she definitely gave too much over the weekend when she threw up 4 times during her ‘Born This Way Ball‘ concert. The pop star was performing in Spain when she suffered from a bout of sickness, and it got so bad that she ended up leaning over the make-shift balcony onstage to spew over it! Nice!
After the video went viral, she tweeted: “Was praying nobody saw but actually its quite a good laugh if u need one! Check out Lady PukeGA doing Swan “Vomit” Lake. I still hit my routine mom! 🙂 Thank goodness for the ‘Dorchester‘…I need some tea, I think I just cried a little watching that. Spain, you took the piss outta me. That’s some hard bodied pop stuff. I’ll never forget tonight Barcelona. Forever.”
Lady Gaga posted some new photos on her website ‘LittleMonsters.com‘ last night of her in her underwear, which are meant to promote body empowerment.
In a post titled ‘bulimia and anorexia since I was 15‘, she wrote: “My weight/loss/gain since I was a child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But you have. My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I’m happy. Happier then I’ve ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And I love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well.” She looks like she’s in great shape to me!
Lady Gaga pulled a ‘lavender blonde’ from the 55,000 strong crowd at her sold-out ‘Born This Way Ball‘ show at Twickenham on Saturday, and performed an emotional tribute to Amy Winehouse, Princess Diana, Alexander McQueen & Whitney Houston to her.
The acoustic track titled ‘Lady Die‘ references her number 1 inspiration during her teens- the people’s Princess. She told the crowds: “Since I was a very young girl, the people’s Princess was the most important person in me and my mother’s life. I swore if I ever had an audience like this in London, I would take a moment to appreciate her. This is for her, Amy Winehouse, Alexander McQueen, Whitney Houston and me.”
Azealia Banks and Lady Gaga have always had something a little bit in common, with them both coming from New York, but now they have a whole other thing in common: a collaborative track!
Azealia told ‘Capital FM‘ DJs that they have recorded a song together, but she’s unsure whether it will make the cut, and end up on Gaga‘s next album ‘ARTPOP‘: “Yeah, I worked on a song for her. I don’t know if it will make her record. I hope it will make her record, but we’ll wait and see.”
